Who (Am I):
You may know me by my government or the slew of nicknames I’ve accumulated over the years, but when it comes to this music thing, call me Rone… RoneMuisk! (James Bond swag) I’m still the young boy from Hampton that had a crazy hoop dream coming up and played tuba for ‘bout 7 years. The same youngin’ that Dottie raised and Steven helped birth. Still the same kid that calls the Eastern Shore of VA home-home. But I am also an artist. My craft: writing; expressed through poetry, lyrics, or what have you. I just happen to be able to sing and flow a little bit. So in short, I am a creative with a knack for music and writing…. And I act a little too.
What (I do):
So here’s where I tell you what I REALLY do. I write real life happenings mostly in the form of poetry and song. I’m convinced I’m a much better writer than I am anything else, but my flow is better than most and I have a soulfully unique voice. Pair that with some of my life experiences and you have what I like to call ‘Hip Soul’ (similar to the ‘R&G’ Kevin McCall claims (RQQ) but with a little less ‘gangsta’). Because I’m not all the way Hip Hop and I’m not entirely R&B I had to find a middle ground. But like most, I’m growing and improving, so no telling what’s next!...
Why (I do it):
A few reasons… First, I have something to say about a lot, and since people rather listen to my art than my rambling, it only makes since. Second, in my art, I feel at home. I get that “kick off your shoes and relax your feet” feeling when I get into it. (..that was Xscape btw) Finally, it is my mission to take the messages that I’ve learned from family, life, and The Word especially and deliver it in a manner best suited for those that need to hear it most. Simply put, I want folks in the struggle, that may not know God’s word, to at least know of His principles whether they know what it is at the time they receive it or not. And no, I am not a Gospel artist but I am a Christian. Check this out
